ConsultLine is a toll free help line for your special education questions and concerns. ConsultLine advisors will answer your questions and provide information about special education programs and the laws governing these programs for parents of and advocates for children with disabilities, or those who are thought to be disabled.

The ConsultLine advisors can:

• Describe the processes involved in having a child evaluated, identified, and provided with special education, classroom accommodations, and related services
• Explain the procedural safeguards (parent's rights) available to parents of students and young children with disabilities
• Provide information about, access to, and assistance with the formal complaint process and other opportunities to address your concerns or disagreements about your child's special education
• Refer callers to other resources that will address their questions or concerns
